J2SE ( Java 2 Standard Edition ) is the Framework Java intended for the applications for work station. This framework contains all the API basic, but also all the API ones specialized in the station customer (JFC and thus Swing, AWT and Java2D), as well as the API ones of general use as JAXP (for the parsing XML) and JDBC (for the management of the databases).
