The June 14th 1866, the orthodoxe métropolite syriaque of Homs, future patriarch with the name of Ignace Pierre IV, devoted Jules Ferrette bishop of Iona with the name of Mar Julius. This last devoted in 1874 Richard William Morgan with the name of Mar Pelagius (Mgr Peeling).

Primacies in Brittany
In 1994, Mar Seraphim Ier left the Celtic orthodoxe Church and was accepted in the jurisdiction of the orthodoxe Église copte (British orthodoxe Église). The Saint Synod chooses Mgr Mael to replace it and fixed the seat of the Church at the monastery of the Holy Presence with Saint-Dolay in Brittany.
