Bf-109
Dominated Me-109 inconstestablement the first year of the war in the world of the hunters. Its performances exceeded those of all its adversaries. Only Spitfire could make good match with him during the battle of Angleterre.
From 1941, its domination is less clear in occident, but it dominates the face is and the Mediterranean theater.

Bf-109 has

Bf-109 B

Bf-109 C

Bf-109 D

Bf-109 E
An evolution of the engine Daimler Benz solves the problems met in Bf 109D. It allows the " Emil" to be the best hunter of the beginning of the war, crowns that only Spitfire can claim to divide with him. It takes part in all the victorious campaigns of the Blitzkrieg and it will be the type of plane which will be left most honourably the Bataille of England, in spite of high losses. Its guns conferred a superiority to him on the best British hunters, even if it were a little less handy. It is replaced shortly after the end of the Battle of England by Bf 109F, a little faster.

Bf-110
Bf 110 seemed, during the first months of the war, capacity to compete with Bf 109 for the title of the best hunter. It indeed better was armed and equipped with a higher operating range. The campaigns of Poland and France did not decide between them. It was the Bataille of England which marked the abyss which separated them: incompetent to compete in whirling combat, Bf 110 was made massacre by Spitfire and English Hurricane. It was necessary to affect of Bf-109 for their escort! That however did not put fine at their career. There remained areas where the air opposition was less and assessed qualities of Me 110 (Balkans, Russia). It also accepted new missions, initially like hunter bomber for the tactical support, then like hunter of night (sometimes of day also) against the heavy bombers. The failure of Me 210 in 1941 made it possible Bf 110 to remain in until March 1945 production, whereas it was exceeded since nearly four years.Production
