The orthodoxe Churches autocéphales are 14 or 15. Indeed, the autocéphalie of the orthodoxe Église in America granted by the Russian orthodoxe Église is recognized by no other.

Noncanonical Churches

Nonthe canonical recognition of these Churches can hold with territorial conflicts (creation of a new Church on the traditional canonical territory of a Church established without its agreement) or with disciplinary or doctrinal conflicts (not acceptance of decision (S) of an established Church, for example adoption of the Gregorian Calendrier or place of the Calendrier Julien). They can be regarded by the canonical Churches as being only “schismatic” or more seriously “heretics”.
