  1. Urbain VII, 228e pope, of the September 15th to the September 27th 1590, reigned during 13 days and was not crowned;
  2. Boniface VI, 112e pope, in April 896, would have reigned during 15 or 16 days;
  3. Célestin IV, 179e pope, of the October 25th to the November 10th 1241, reigned during 17 days and was not crowned;
  4. Sisinnius, 87e pope, of the January 15th to the February 4th 708, would have reigned during 21 days;
  5. Theodore II, 115e pope, in December 897, would have reigned during 21 days;
  6. Marcel II, 222e pope, of the April 9th to the April 30th 1555, reigned during 22 days;
  7. Damask II, 151e pope, of the July 17th to the August 9th 1048, reigned during 24 days;
  8. Black and white III, 210e pope, of the September 22nd to the October 18th 1503, reigned during 27 days;
  9. Leon XI, 232e pope, of April 1st to the April 27th 1605, reigned during 27 days;
  10. Benoit V, 132e pope, of the May 22nd to the June 23rd 964, reigned during 33 days.

Jean-Paul I {{er}} ( 263e pope, of the August 26th to the September 28th 1978) does not appear in this list: its reign lasted 34 days!
