List novels on the country of OZ
The Pays of OZ is a fictitious country initially imagined by the American author L. Frank Baum like a metaphor of the American economic life. This imaginary country had an impact such in the American culture which it was selected like the place of actions many other authors. This page details the whole of the novels relating to the country of OZ. The majority of the authors are presented in the form of royal historians of OZ ( royal historian off OZ ).
Principal series
A first series of novels was written by L. Frank Baum and Rulph Plumly Thompson. This series starts with a success: the first volume represented during two years the best sale of books for children. After the publication of 14 novels and following the death of Baum, Thompson continued the series, adding 19 new novels. The work of Thompson is centered more on the sets of themes of fairy tales.
Three novels followed written by the illustrator John R. Neill. The former student of Baum, Snow Jack, had refused to continue the series with dead of Baum, but accepted the drafting of two additional volumes in 1946 and 1949.

The series of Alexander Volkov
Alexander Volkov tried a free translation of The Wonderful Wizard off OZ . This east translation borrows Soviet culture. The author continued the series in an independent series giving an alternative description of the country of OZ. The books were retranslated thereafter in English. The history is completely separated from the principal series given above. The main characters have by chance of the different names.

Series of Gregory Maguire
In 1995, Gregory Maguire lance a new series of novels on the country of OZ. The author wants to be in the continuity of the writing of Baum, but the glance related to the country of OZ differs. In the novels of Maguire, lassitude, flatness and the innoncence are the cause of disorders, angers and hatreds.
