List museums of the Town of Paris
The museums of the Town of Paris are the municipal museums, workshops of artist or archaeological places managed by the Town of Paris. They are fifteen and their access is free, except the catacombs and the crypt of Notre-Dame.
The first of the museums of the Town of Paris, the Museum Carnavalet, was created in 1880. Thereafter, of many real gifts or collections creations of other museums allowed. The whole of the collections of the Town of Paris is the second of France in importance after that of the State.
