Creation of the municipality (1790-1796)

The cut out city of divisions (1796-1805)

Of 1796 with 1805, the city (or canton of Lyon) in three divisions having each one their mayor is divided:
  • 1796 :

    • Northern Division: Uneven Jean-François
    • Southern Division: Pierre Mauteville
    • Western Division: Berthelet
  • 1799 :

    • Northern Division: Jean-Marie Relative
    • Southern Division: Healthy-Rousset Andre-Paul, later baron de Vauxonne
    • Western Division: Andre-Bernard Charpieux

Return to the single town hall (1805-1852)

In 1805 the town hall becomes again single.

Second empire and the division of the capacity (1852-1870)

The city is divided into five districts (then six as from 1867) having each one their mayor, appointed by the central capacity.

Third republic (1870-1940)

  • 1872, Claude-Desired Barodet

Of 1873 with 1881, each district has its mayor. The central town hall is restored in 1881.
