List matadors died in the arena
The Bullfight is it dangerous? It undoubtedly is not about the riskiest human activity: crushing the majority of the Matador S reaches the retirement age. Its Martyrologe is however already provided: fifty-five matadors killed in the Arena, for which it is necessary to add a hundred and eleven novilleros, fifty-nine Picador S and a hundred and twenty Banderillero S.
As, it is often advanced false figures affirming as since the end of the war, four matadors “only” died: actually, they are twelve since the end of the Guerre of Spain, ten since the end of the Second world war.
Some compare, on the one hand the number of matador killed, on the other hand the number of killed bulls. While being based on the very small proportion died in the matadors/died in the bulls, they conclude from it that the bullfight does not present almost any risk and go sometimes even until affirming that there is less of danger to enter the arena than to cross the street.
The list hereafter includes/understands only the fifty-five killed matadors.
