Charles de Villiers sells his seigniories to his cousin Anne de Montmorency (1492-1567) in 1527, but usufruct for the remainder of its life keeps some. He dies in 1535. Isle-Adam then becomes fully a possession of Montmorency.

Montmorency (1527-1632)

After the execution of Henri II of Montmorency to Toulouse, its grounds are divided between his/her sisters. Isle-Adam falls to Charlotte-Marguerite de Montmorency, woman of Henri II of Bourbon-Cop.

The Bourbon Cop (1632-1650) then Conti (1650-1783)

The field of Isle-Adam is sold in 1783 to the count de Provence, to brother of the King Louis XVI and future Louis XVIII. The last of Conti however reserves the pleasure of the castles of Isle-Adam and Stors until its death.
