List kings of Lan Xang

This list enumerates the kings of the Laos at the time of the Royaume of the Million Elephants or Lan Xang, founded in 1353 by the king Fa Ngum. The last king of Lan Xang original reigned until in 1694, but in a different form the kingdom remained until in 1707, then parcelled out in smaller kingdoms like that of Luang Prabang or under the Siamoise domination. It is of Luang Prabang that reappears at the 19th century, under French protectorate, a substitute of this kingdom, definitively abolished in 1975 by the come to power of the Pathet Lao.
