List international competitions of the players of the LNH

The following list relates to the participation of the players of Hockey of the National league of hockey in the competitions of international scale, except for the series of the century: indeed, at the time of this series, the players selected to represent the hockey of the North America came from the concurrent league of the LNH: the Worldwide association of hockey.

Series of the century

At the time of the Series of the century of 1972, the team of the Canada was only made up players of the Worldwide association of hockey and not of players of LNH. The team of North America had taken top the Soviet for finally gaining accuracy the series at the time of the eighth and last match with Moscow.

Super Series

The Super Series were matches of exhibition enter the teams of the Soviet Union and those of the National league of hockey which took place on on the skating rinks of the teams of North America of 1976 with 1991. The teams of the Soviet Union were generally teams of the Soviet league of hockey. An exception take place in 1983, when the national team represented the Soviet Union. 1979 Challenge Cup

The Cup Challenge of 1979 was a series of matches between a selection of the the USSR and a selection of the LNH. Championship of the world

Since 1977, it has there no more limits with the number of players of the National league of hockey that a country can include in its manpower with the Championnat of the world of hockey managed by the International federation of hockey. However, since the tournament géréralement is géréralement disputed during the eliminatory Séries of the Coupe Stanley, the number of players of the league represented fell considerably. Because of the lockout started during the season 2004-05 of the LNH, all the players were available to take part in the edition 2005. Nevertheless, several players did not take part in the competition because they had not played a complete season and were thus not in physical good condition.
