List historical provinces of Europe

The continent of Europe gathers at present a whole of historical provinces which do not have or do not have today any more of administrative existence. Corresponding at the origin with small monarchical entities ( pagi of the old tribes), they were gathered in greater units, in particular with the Roman epoch (creation of the provinciæ ).
