Here a list of the highest buildings of Ile-de-France .

Method

The following list is based on the following criteria:
  • the structures considered are building S, i.e. buildings great height used by dwellings or offices on the near total. The other structures (Eiffel Tower, for example) are not taken into account.
  • the height taken into account is the height of the roof of the building. Certain buildings can have antennas which raise as much their total height.

Localization

The Ile-de-France, more particularly immediate Paris and its surroundings, is among the areas cash the most high buildings in Europe (in 2006, one counted there twelve buildings of more than 150 m and two others in construction, against nine with London and Frankfurt, six with Moscow and Istanbul; on the other hand it existed there one building of more than 200 m, against 5 in Frankfurt, 3 in London and 2 in Moscow).

The majority of the Gratte-ciel franciliens are distributed on three sectors:

  • Defense, the largest European district of business, located at the west of the commune of Paris in the middle of the department of the Hauts-de-Seine; the buildings have mainly a vocation of offices there.
  • the 13 {{E}} district, mainly towards the south in what is now the principal Quartier Chinese of the city, with primarily residential buildings.
  • the 15 {{E}} district, more specifically the district of the Face of the Seine close to the Eiffel tower, built in the years 1970 and 1980 for a mixed, residential and commercial use.

Other skyscrapers were built in a scattered way in the Paris and its suburbs, especially near the ring road, like the Tours Reprimands with Bagnolet, the Tour Pleyel with Saint-Denis or the Hôtel Agrees Lafayette, close to the Porte Shirt.
