List counts of Zealand
The Comté of Zealand is an old county located in the current Netherlands and which raised of the Germanic Roman Holy roman Empire. It was acted in fact of a series of islands located between the mouths of the Meuse and the the Scheldt.
Until the 13th century, Zealand is made up of small seigniories independent from/to each other. Of 1256 with 1290, the count Florent V of Holland takes control and is entitled of it count de Zélande . Its successors will be counts de Hollande and of Zealand.

- Gérulf Ier, count in 839 in the Pagus Westrachi in the east of the Fli.
- Gérulf II, count in 885 in Kennemerland, died before 916
- Thierry Ier (Dirk Ier) (Thierry > Theoderik > Diederik > Dirk, died after 939.
- Thierry II (v. 939 - died after April 1st 988
- Arnould of Holland (v. 988 - 993 or 995
- Thierry III (995 - 1039)
- Thierry IV (1039 - 1049)
- Flowered Ier (Flowered Ier) (1049 - 1061)
- Thierry V, under the regency of Robert the Clippings, (1061 - 1091)
- Florent II the Large (1091 - 1122)
- Thierry VI (1122 - 1157)
- Florent III (1157 - 1190)
- Guillaume Ier (1204-1222)
- Florent IV (1222-1234)
- Guillaume II King of the Romans (1234-1256)
- Florent V (1256 - 1296), takes the control of the Zealand and is entitled count de Zélande
- Jean Ier of Holland (1296 - 1299)
- Jean II of Avesnes (1299 - 1304) was also count de Hainaut.
- Guillaume III of Avesnes (1304 - 1337), count de Hainaut and of Holland.
- Until 1311, GUI of Dampierre was also count de Zélande.
- Guillaume IV of Avesnes (1337 - 1345), count de Hainaut and of Holland.
Thereafter, the destinies of the counties of Holland and Zealand did not dissociate. See the List of the counts de Hollande.
