the seigniory of Girecourt is a seigniory of old the Duché of Lorraine located on the current territory of the the Vosges. It is centered on the village of Girecourt-on-Durbion, between Épinal and Bruyères, with like principal remaining witness of this past, the castle and its dependences.
The Humbert branch
It is mainly represented by a personality which strongly marked the history of its field:
- Jean-François Humbert (1663 - 1754), lord of Girecourt and the Low-Vosges; baron (1722), then count de Girecourt (1737), Secretary of State, chief of the Council of Finances of the duchy under the duke Léopold Ier, chancellor and regent (1739 - 1744) of the Principality of Commercy.
Its descendants are little known:

Dieudonné-Gabriel Humbert, count de Girecourt (+ 1795 with Nancy), wire of the precedent, officer in the regiment of Roy Infantry, and author of a Test on the history of the House of Austria (1778 - 1786).

Marguerite-Suzanne Humbert de Girecourt, girl of Jean-François, countess of Bourcier de Villers by its marriage with the count Charles-Dieudonné de Bourcier.

Its descendants emigrated with the the United States, probably following the Révolution
