List bishops of Leon

The évêché of Leon , in the Finistere, existed 6th century until in 1802, year when it was removed pursuant to the Concordat of 1801 to be attached to the Diocèse of Quimper.

Present the list of the bishops of Saint-Pol.-of-Leon is given by Albert Large the is, for several names in italics below, of an authenticity impossible to check. For the first holders, until S. Gouesnou included, although the first written sources are late, the constancy of the traditions, and especially of the worship of which they are the object, is an argument of very great weight.

Since the legal settlement of 1802, the diocese of Leon is attached to that of Quimper, itself amputee of several parishes attached to the dioceses of Saint-Brieuc or of Valves to correspond to the current limits of the department of Finistere.
