  • Σ (sigma capital letter): nap
  • ζ (Zeta): indicate one of the functions zeta

  • acos or arccos: Arc cosine
  • ash or asinh or argsh: reciprocal hyperbolic Sine

The following abbreviations are not usable within a formula; they are linguistic abbreviations.

  • QED: quod erat demonstrandum (cf CQFD)
