List Parisian fountains
The fountains of Paris are a whole of more or less monumental constructions, having a decorative function or more prosaically of drinkable water supply to the population. They were also books of poetry to open sky, because the Latin poet Santeul had decorated them under Louis XIV of admirable Latin poetries . They are dispersed on the whole of the urban territory, but more particularly in the parks, the public gardens or the places. One counts more than 200 fountains in Paris.
The lists below index the fountains having a historical or architectural interest.
