List Latin patriarchs of Jerusalem

In 1099, with the catch of Jerusalem by the Crusaders, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, a religious structure, was created in addition to the Royaume of Jerusalem, the temporal structure.

  • Vacancy of the seat 1191-1194. Après the disappearance of the patriarch Eracles, the canons of the the Holy Sepulchre elected several clerks, who for various reasons, could not take possession of the patriarchal seat:

    • Cyrille, prior of Carmel
    • Raoul, former bishop of Bethlehem
    • Michel of Corbeil, elected official patriarch in 1193 but becomes archbishop of Sens in March 1194.
