List Champagne counts

The county of Champagne was born from fusion between the counties of Meaux and of Troyes, joined together by the counts de Vermandois, then transmitted to the counts de Blois. They had tried to incorporate the Comté of Rheims, but this one ends up their escaping the profit from the archbishops from Rheims, and the Champagne feudal was limited to the south of Champagne current.

Although only count de Troyes, Hugues Ier de Champagne proclaimed count de Champagne in the neighborhoods of the year 1102.
