Lipót Fejér

Lipót Fejér is a Hungarian mathematician (February 9th, 1880, Pécs, Hungary - October 15th, 1959 Budapest, Hungary). Born under the name of Léopold Weiss , it decides to change its name about 1900.

During its thesis, it publishes a remarkable theorem of convergence for the Fourier series. He teaches in Hungary, at the university of Budapest of 1902 to 1905, with that of Cluj (then in the kingdom of Hungary) of 1905 to 1911, then is named with the pulpit of mathematics of the university of Budapest. He works mainly on the harmonic Analyze, the Théorie of the potential.
