Lionel of Rieux
Lionel of Rieux (1870-1915), Poet, Novelist and Journalist French. Member of the Romance School animated by the poet Jean Moréas, of Rieux was also a collaborator of the Ermitage where it bound friendship with the writers Rene Boylesve and Hugues Rebell.
About 1900, of Rieux his/her friend Charles Maurras with the French Action joined; it becomes one of the first writers of the Revue French Action which will become the French Action (daily newspaper)|The French Action in 1908. He also collaborates in the critical Revue of the ideas and the books , of neo-classic inspiration and maurrassienne. Its work is influenced in particular by Nietzsche and the Littérature gréco-Roman.
On the Political level, of Rieux was a Bonapartiste; he adopted the Monarchisme of Maurras (one of its letters appears in the Enquête into monarchy of this last) and contributed to the critic of the Parlementarisme and the Third Republic. He died in the field of honor in 1915, like his fellow-members Ernest Psichari and Charles Péguy.
