Lionel Stoléru

Lionel Guy Stoléru (born the November 22nd 1937 with Nantes) is a French politician and economist.

Biography

Lionel Stoléru is graduate Polytechnic school (promotion 1956) and School of the Mines of Paris. His wife is Francine, born Wolf.

Direction of the financial businesses of the Crédit Lyonnais of 1968 to 1969, then to advise Valery Giscard d'Estaing until 1974.

Parliamentary candidate in the second district of the Vosges in 1978, it is beaten and becomes thereafter general adviser of the canton of Provenchères-on-Fave (the Vosges).

From 1986 to 1988, he is president of the chamber of commerce France/Israel, and again occupies this station since 1993.

He will be elected appointed in Oise in 1988, with the label " présidentielle" majority; , supported by the Socialist party, at the end of the opening in the center. In 1993, it is represented under the banner of Ecology Generation, but does not even arrive at the second round.

In 2001, it is present on the municipal list of XVIe district of Paris, carried by the Socialist Jean-Yves Mano.

It is, in 2006, president of the Council of economic development of Paris.

He is also leader within the European romantic orchestra which he founded in 1996.

At the time of the presidential campaign of 2007, it supports Nicolas Sarkozy.

Ministerial positions

  • Secretary of State in charge of the condition of the worker manuals (governments of Jacques Chirac and of Raymond Barre (1), 1974 - 1978). It creates in 1977 a premium with the return of the immigrant workers of an amount of 10.000 francs (million “Stoléru”).
  • Secretary of State charged with the worker manuals and immigrants (governments of Raymond Barre (2) and (3), 1978 - 1981).
  • Secretary of State near the Prime Minister, in charge of the Plan (governments of Michel Rocard (1) and (2), 1988 - 1991).
