Linuxgraphic is a French-speaking Internet site treating graphic resources for systems GNU/Linux and more generally of the free software graphic.

The site provides four service types:

• a regrouping of recent current events
• of the Tutoriel S
• of the graphic resources
• of the reference documents

History

Paragraph in the course of writing

Since 1998-99, André Pascual wrote articles for Linuxfocus. On his side, Yves Ceccone made in the same way. Whereas André was interested in the vectorial drawing through Sketch, he learned, (undoubtedly by the coordinator Linuxfocus of the time, John Perr, a neighbor) that Yves wrote a teachware for Sketch. After being themselves met and collaboratehaving collaborated on the subject, they are joined soon by Frederic All Saints' day who was interested in the computer graphics under GNU/Linux.

During exchanges of emails, the idea germinated to create a site entirely dedicated to the computer graphics linuxienne. At the end of 99, the bases of Linuxgraphic.org were posed. In spring 2000, the site was opened with the public.

They were joined quickly by Raymond Ostertag, who created Gimp-fr.org later, then by Olivier Saraja, Michel Armand, Xavier Michelon then Franck Barnier. Others will follow without manpower increasing for as much, because Linuxgraphic lives according to a gold rule: each one works at its rate/rhythm, according to its availabilities, for the duration which is appropriate to him, which induces a renewal of the members.

Gestation, the birth and the life of Linuxgraphic are related to Internet. Yves, Fred and André have work nearly two years without meeting physically. It will be necessary to await RMLL of 2001 then the following ones so that the first hands are tightened.

Today, Linuxgraphic is composed of: Andre Pascual, Olivier Saraja, Michel Armand, Franck Barnier and Cyril Brulebois.
