Linus Pauling

Priest, theologist and German psychoanalyst jungien , Eugen Drewermann was born the June 20th 1940 with Bergkamen, close to Dortmund.

Life

His/her mother was catholic and her father Lutheran. After the vat ( Abitur , in Germany), he studies the Philosophie in Münster, the Théologie in Paderborn, the Psychanalyse with Göttingen.

In 1956, to the creation of the conscription, it enters for the first time in conflict with the Roman Catholic church, because of its pacifist convictions : it goes conscientious objector. However, the Catholic church defends the point of view which a catholic does not have the right to refuse the Military service.

It is ordered priest in 1966 and works in a parish coed.

Thesis in 1978 on the structure of the evil in the Yahwisme.

Lecturer ( privatdocent ) in History of the Religions and Dogmatic with Paderborn until in 1991 (catholic university). It tries to reconcile the doctrines of the catholic Church with acquired knowledge (critical biblical, Psychanalyse) and the evolution of the company.

Suspended theological teaching at the catholic University of Paderborn by the Degenhardt bishop, following his book Civils servant of God 1989, the public university of Paderborn opens a pulpit of sociology and anthropology of civilization to him. Until 2000, it gave the weekly word (religious talk and morals) to the college of Paderborn.

Currently, he is psychotherapist and free lecturer, one of the most coveted world, on the questions of Religion, presentation of the Bible, analysis of the popular Conte or around the relations between the animal and the man. Eugen Drewermann is vegetarian.
