The lingual artery is born from the external Artère carotid between the higher thyroid Artère and the facial Artère.
It moves initially to the top and towards the inside towards the large horns of the Os hyoïde. It is inclined then downwards and before by forming a loop crossed by the large Nerf hypoglosse penetrates between the Digastrique and the Stylohyoïdien advances horizontally to pass between the Hyoglosse S and to end up going up towards the base of the language and running under its lower face until the end of the language where it takes the name of deep Artère of the language (profunda linguae).
