Linfen

Linfen (临汾; Pinyin: Línfén) is a city of the south-west of the province of the Shanxi in China. In the past, it bore the name of Pingyang (平阳).

According to the American ONG Blacksmith Institute, Linfen is the most polluted city world.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Linfen exerts its jurisdiction on seventeen subdivisions - a district, two city-counties and fourteen counties  :

  • the county of Xiangfen - 襄汾县 Xiāngfén Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Hongdong - 洪洞县 Hóngdòng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Gu - 古县 Gǔ Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Anze - 安泽县 Ānzé Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Fushan - 浮山县 Fúshān Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Ji - 吉县 Jí Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Xiangning - 乡宁县 Xiāngníng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Pu - 蒲县 Pú Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Daning - 大宁县 Dàníng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Yonghe - 永和县 Yǒnghé Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Xi - 隰县 Xí Xiàn
  • the county of Fenxi - 汾西县 Fénxī Xiàn .
