Belgian Government loans, the OLO constitute the principal support of the negotiable Dette of the Kingdom of Belgium. Taking into account the strong level of debt of the country, and even if this one were strongly tiny room since the middle of the years 1990, incur to them is rather important:
- 22 lines of approximately 10 billion euros each one with semi-2005,
- is a total of approximately 220 billion euros, which represents approximately 29 % of the comparable French debt (765 billion euros of OAT and BTAN with semi-2005).
Although they are mainly démembrables for a long time, only a weak part of the OLO in fact was dismembered (4 % of the potential, against 10 % of the potential for the OAT).
Belgium also uses a negotiable Evidence of indebtedness, CT or Certificates of Treasury, bills Treasury at less than one year with the emission, similar to BTF of the Treasury French, and of which incur it semi-2005 was of 28 billion euros.
