Linear density of load
In electrostatic, the linear density of load , often noted λ, is the electric quantity of charge per unit of length. In the international system, its unit is Coulomb per meter (C.m).
Use
This linear density of load is at the base of calculations of electrostatic Champ and potential electrostatics for the problems with a dimension. One uses also the surface Densité of load for the problems of charge distribution to 2 dimensions, and the voluminal Densité of load for the problems with 3 dimensions.
