Line array

The Line array is a linear network, a vertical stacking on line of a certain number of pregnant S Acoustique S. A line array is thus not inevitably a system able to reproduce a Wave front continuous, comparable to a single sound source of great dimension. So that a line array is comparable to a line source, it will have to answer the criteria of WST, defined by work of Christian Heil and Marcel Urban. It should be noted that only the line array source make it possible to obtain 3dB of less by doubling the distance from the point of measurement to the source. Others line array, like any system " traditionnel" cause a loss of 6dB.
