Line Savenay - Landerneau

The Savenay line - Landerneau is a Breton line of Railroad connecting Savenay (between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire) to Landerneau (close to Brest) along the southern part of the Brittany.
Thanks to the Clerc's Office of a line coming from Rennes close to Redon, this line allows also the connection between Brittany and Paris.
Of overall East-West orientation, it is electrified in alternative course 25 Kv since the September 10th 1991 (except the section Gestel - Quimper, electrified one year later).
Layout and profile
With Saint-Nicolas-with-Redon, it is a major rail junction of Brittany which takes shape, with a triangle giving access to the line coming from Rennes. Just after this triangle is the Gare of Redon, whose activity is due more to the possibilities of correspondences that to the service road of the city.
If the Profil of the line were until there very favorable, it becomes more difficult after Redon (slopes going until rates of 9 ‰
