Line Renaud , of his true name Jacqueline Graft , is a singer and French actress born the July 2nd 1928 with Nieppe, close to Armentières, in the metropolis inhabitant of Lille.
Biography
After a passage by the Academy of Lille, it starts to work in the Music-hall in Paris in 1945. It meets there the type-setter of songs Loulou Gasté, twenty years older than it, which makes him take a name of scene. It records My hut in Canada which receives the Grand Prix of the disc. In 1950, she marries Loulou Gasté, which will remain her husband until his death in 1995. She connects successes with titles like " Star of the neiges" , " My P' tite Folie" , " Miss from Armentières" or " The Dog in the vitrine".She sings in 1954 with the Moulin-Rouge, then share for the the United States of America to sing in de luxe hotels of New York and Los Angeles, and in the ED Sullivan Show. She sings in duet with Dean Martin " You release ". In 1959, it becomes driving of re-examined to the Casino of Paris, then it is committed with the Dunes, a casino of Las Vegas between 1963 and 1965.
She presents the emission " on television; Line directe" in the Years 1970. In the Years 1980, it produces the show televised " Such is Line" on Antenna 2, and begins a career with the Théâtre. It is named Officier of the Légion of honor in 1994.
It is member of the committee of sponsorship of the French Coordination for the Decade of the culture of peace and non-violence and vice-president of association Ensemble against the AIDS.
