Line 3bis of the subway of Paris
The line 3bis of the subway of Paris is a line of the underground railway network of Paris. With a 1,3 km length, it is shortest of the network.
History
Until 1971, it belonged to line 3. It was disconnected at the time of the prolongation of line 3 with Gallieni. It is exploited today in the shape of a short shuttle, the line 3bis.
Projects
The fusion of the lines 3bis and 7bis in a new line 15 is registered with phase 1 (horizon 2013-2020) of the preliminary draft of SDRIF. This connection currently being studied would re-use the Voie shuttle and Voie of the Festivals, possibly allowing the opening of the phantom station Haxo. In addition, the preliminary draft of SDRIF also envisages in its phase 2 a prolongation of the line 7bis to Castle-Landon.
Material
This line is made up of MF 67 comprising only 3 cars because of the weak multitude. These cars are identical to those of line 9 except the fact that there is no folding seat.
Stations
List stations
The line 3bis includes/understands the stations:- Gambetta
- Pelleport
- Saint-Fargeau
- Door of the Lilacs
The line being built in great depth, the quays of the Pelleport stations and Saint-Fargeau are accessible by elevators. The architect Charles Plumet was in charge of the construction of the stations of the stations Pelleport, Saint-Fargeau and Porte of the Lilacs. Following criticisms as for the installation of the preceding stations where it was necessary to descend first once to find the room where one could buy the transport documents, then still to go down to the quays. Plumet carried out the three stations on the surface. They were all the three made out of reinforced concrete and in cement of Grenoble , decorated ceramics of Nice and Bourdet, the contractors were Pinton and Nion-Lacroix. Source H. - M. Magne, “new stations of the subway”, Art and Décoration , 1922, (nonknown month).
Workshops
The rolling stock of the line is maintained, like that of the line 3, with the workshops of Fargeau Saint, connected to the Gambetta station.
