Line 18-4 (Is)

The line 184 (classification the SNCF), in the past line 185 (classification Is), of Saint-Léonard to Fraize, serves the high valley of the Meurthe.

Chronology

  • May 2nd, 1873: Declaration of public utility.
  • December 4th, 1876: Opening; exploitation by the Company of the Railroad of the Vosges.
  • October 3rd, 1881: Repurchase by the State; exploitation entrusted on a purely provisional basis with the Company of the railroads of the East.
  • 1883: Exploitation entrusted on a purely final basis with the Company of the Railroads of the East.
  • January 1938: Is just the National company of the railroads French.
  • December 26th, 1938: ministerial decision of transfer on road of the passenger traffic between Saint-Dié and Fraize.
  • January 9th, 1939: End of the service travellers.
  • September 1988: End of the service goods between Anould and Fraize.
  • November 10th, 1993: Downgrading between Anould and Fraize.

Complements

Between Anould and Fraize, the platform underwent a transformation into “track multi-activities”, where the clean modes of public transport of the third millennium are promoted (bicycle, rollers, walking…)

The B.V of Fraize accommodates from now on the Tourist bureau of Fraize.
