The Futurisme is a literary and artistic movement beginning of the 20th century, which rejects the esthetic tradition and exalte the modern world, in particular urban civilization, the machines and speed.

Born in Italy around the poet Filippo Tommaso Marinetti ( Proclamation of futurism , 1909). Authors of two proclamations in 1910, the first painters of the movement, Giacomo Balled, Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, Gino Severini, Luigi Russolo (1885-1947), borrow from the technique divisionnist and the Cubisme to make interfere forms, rates/rhythms, colors and lights in order to express a “dynamic feeling”, a simultaneity of the states of heart and structures multiple of the visible world.

A movement “Knave of diamonds”, existed in Russia (also called Cubo-Futurism) in the years 1910-1917 (Vladimir Maïakovski, Kasimir Malevitch, Kontchalovsky, Mikhaïl Matiouchine, Machkov, Lentoulov, Gontcharova, Kouprine, Tatline etc).

Futurism is certainly one of the movements of avant-garde which shocked the most. He indeed preaches the love speed, violence, of the machine, the contempt of the woman, the war “like only hygiene of the world”. It is also one of the movements which, with the Surréalisme, knows the most internal wars. Many artists are expelled like the two brothers Arturo and Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia, photographers.

More than one movement, futurism becomes an art of living. It touches the Peinture, the Sculpture, the Littérature, the Cinéma, the Photographie, the Théâtre, the Mise in scene, the Musique, the bruitism, the Architecture and even the Politique and the Cuisine.

Russolo and Pratela through a theorization of the concept of noise will defend the sound. The noise is initially ingérable and escapes any classification (for example, noise of a factory). Thus it is different from the sound, of the music. Now, the analysis of the noise or rather of the noises makes it possible to control it. For this reason Russolo and Pratella started to make a classification of the noise, to seek its characteristics (thing of which nobody had thought before). This analysis of the noise will be begun again by the Dadaïstes but with a different point of view: no concept of aggressiveness.

The movement will become fascistic official art under Mussolini and will die with this last. The compromising of Futurism with the Fascisme is mainly related to the fact that Marinetti died during the War with Bellagio, the last bastion of overcome Fascism, and was entitled to the last state funeral of the Mode. However, some futuristic, as Ballá will not play in Fascism and will prefer to leave Futurism to be able to continue to still exert their Article Aujourd'hui some artists claim Futurism like Antonio Fiore in Italy, which proposes to pass at the third artistic stage of the movement: the first was speed, the second the race with the sky, the third will be the race with space.
