Lina Krasnoroutskaya

Lina Krasnoroutskaya (born the April 29th 1984 with Obninsk) is a Russian tennis player , Professionnel since 1999.

Career

World champion junior ITF in 1999, Lina Krasnoroutskaya gained the US Open less than eighteen years.

After one season 2001 rich person in success, during which it in particular reached the quarterfinals to Roland Garros, the young Russian is wounded in January 2002 with the 1st turn of the Open of Australia. Forced with the abandonment vis-a-vis Conchita Martinez, it returns on the circuit only in August.

In 2003, it is established among the thirty best players of the world thanks to regular results and victories against Monica Seles, Elena Bovina, Nadia Petrova, Patty Schnyder or Kim Clijsters.

She reaches in January 2004 the signal 25 for the first time of her career, when a disease of the liver comes to block its progression. In August, then gone down again to the 49e row, it puts a term at its season.

In January 2005, suffering of gastric disorders, it fails to be qualified for the large table of Open of Australia. In March, it questions its professional path then takes again in June, by announcing its nearest return. This comeback is finally delayed by its maternity.

In spite of its vexations, Krasnoroutskaya gained nearly a million dollars in prize money , played a final into simple with the Open of Canada, reached a semi-final in Wimbledon into double ladies at the sides of its compatriot Elena Dementieva (by beating the sisters Williams with the 3rd turn) and be finalist in mixed double with the US Open with Daniel Nestor (not without to have profited from three match points).

At present, she officiates as a sporting commentatrice on the television channel NTV Russia.

Lina married at the end of October 2004 with Dmitri and gave birth in November 2005 to a little boy.
