Limey-Remenauville is a common French, located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle and the area Lorraine.

Limey

The origin of the name of Limey would come from the Celt " LEMOS" who indicates the elm. This tree is very present besides in and around the commune.

Remenauville

From now on attached to LIMEY, this village of 138 inhabitants before the First War, Réménauville was occupied by the German army as of the first engagements. Crossed by the frontline during all the war, it was entirely destroyed and was released only in September 1918, at the time of the Franco-American offensive against the projecting one of Saint-Mihiel. The church, built in 1860 had been devoted in 1862.
