Lily of the Pyrenees
The Lis of the Pyrenees ( Lilium pyrenaicum ) is a herbaceous Plante for more than one year of the family of the Liliacée S, kind Lilium (Lily).
Description
The size makes 40 to 120 centimetres, the Bulbe is of round form, a maximum diameter of 7 cm, and takes a pink color clearly when it is exposed to the air. Large punctuated flowers sharp yellow of brown spots. Medicinal plant treating the wounds, burns and punctures.
The Périanthe contains 6 Tépale S strongly curved. The Anthères are large of approximately 10 mm, container of the Pollen of a clear orange color, and the cheesecloths are of a green color (see photo opposite). The nectaries are dark, progressively of the Floraison appear 3 Carpelle S, the Graine S germinate tardily.

Parmis the variety S and Sous-espèce S one finds:
- Lilium pyrenaicum VAr. rubrum (Marschall 1929): lily of the Pyrenees with petals of flower of color orange-red mottled of brown, localization in the surroundings of Burgos (Spain).
- Lilium pyrenaicum subsp. ponticum (K.Koch 1849): smaller, yellow color " beurre" mottled maroon dark, at the edge of the Black Sea in the east of the Turkey is.
