Lily Potter

Character of the saga Harry Potter, written by J.K. Rowling. The author makes of it mention for the first time in the volume 1, in chapter 1.

Lily Potter or Lily Evans of its name of young girl, is the mother of Harry and the sister of Pétunia Dursley. Its hair is auburn, almost russet-red. She was born parents Moldu S who were very proud of her. She made her studies with Poudlard in the house Gryffondor.

In Poudlard, Lily is a brilliant pupil, especially in potions, just like Severus Rogue, his/her friend of childhood. She is also liked of all her professors, more particularly of her professor de Potion of the time: Horace Slughorn . She meets there James Potter, with which she Maria right after the end of their studies. Both joined the Ordre of the Phoenix.

But they entrust this secrecy to Peter Pettigrow which proves to be a traitor. When Voldemort is presented to kill Harry, Lily interposes and dies in its place. It seems that it is the love of Lily for his/her son who protected it from the attack of Voldemort, and more particularly a fate of old magic. With this gesture of love, it creates a protection on the house of Dursley which will rise when it is major (17 years for the wizards).

It appeared with the eyes of Harry in the Miroir of Riséd like in the form of shade, outgoing of the rod of Voldemort. As of first film, one can see it in the album of family given by Hagrid.

The best friend of childhood of Lily Evans was Severus Rogue. It is him which will teach him the first which it is a witch after having espionnée it during a certain time. She will move away from him when they are in Poudlard and that it will become more and more a truth " Serpentard" and the knell of their friendship will sound when, in 5th year, whereas it was made annoy by James Potter and Sirius Black, it will call Lily: " blood-of-bourbe" , insult engraves in the world of the wizards.

Years later, Harry gives the name of Lily to his/her daughter in remembering her mother.

In the 7th volume, it makes a short appearance thanks to the stone of resurrection. One sees it in the pensine of Albus Dumbledore thanks to the memories of Severus Rogue. Indeed, this one would have been deeply in love with it since the beginning. Being born-moldue, he would have explained all to him on Poudlard. He was even his best friend until than it becomes the friend of James Potter. In its honor, the patronus of Severus Rogue was a hind silver plated.
