Lilly Marcou

Lilly Marcou , born in 1936, is a French historian of Rumanian origin, specialist in the Communisme.

Graduate in literature of the University of Bucharest, Lilly Marcou obtained a doctorate in history at the university of Paris Sorbonne.

It makes then its career with the Center of studies and international research (CERI) of Science-Po. From 1975 to 1981, it directs a group of research on the international communist Mouvement. From 1982 to 1988, she teaches with the Institut of political studies of Paris.

From 1993, it devotes its research to the study of the Soviet files of the Stalinist time with Moscow.

In April 2007, it is named Chevalier of the Légion of honor.
