Lili Marleen is a German film Rainer Werner Fassbinder carried out in 1980.

Synopsis

Zurich, 1938. Willie, a German singer of cabaret, maintains an love affair with Robert Mendelsson, a Swiss Jew, member of a secret organization coming to assistance with the Jews wanting to flee Germany Nazie. But David, the father of Robert, sees this relation of an evil eye and seeks to put an end to it. Willie comes to assistance of their organization but, because of the operations of David, is found blocked in Germany at the end of its first mission.

Separated by the events, Willie and Robert will follow, during the war, of the seemingly opposite trajectories. It will help the German Jews to flee their country; it will become a large high-speed motorboat of Germany hitlérienne thanks to the song Lili Marleen . But it is not the end of their history of love…
