Light-Cape-Tag is a common French, located in the department of the the Gironde and the area Aquitaine.
Geography
Located in Country of Buch, Light-Cape-Tag extends along the Presqu'île same name which separates the Bassin from Arcachon of the Atlantic Ocean and, so protects the basin from angers from the Ocean.
History
During very a long time, the Cape Ferret was not that a point of fall for the fishermen of the basin, a place of pine S and Dune S… Then gradually, certain fishermen started to be established on the shores of the peninsula and the village took form gradually. The development of Arcachon as a Seaside resort supported the rise of tourism on all the basin and it is at the beginning of the twentieth century that the first " touristes" pressed the ground of the Presqu'île.Even if the commune were attached a long time administratively to the commune of Tests It, the tags-capiens always kept a feeling of independence compared to their administrative hierarchy… The peninsula preserved a wild side during many years, which also contributed to the lifestyle of the inhabitants… A lifestyle very relaxed compared to Arcachon.
