Liffey

The Liffey is a Fleuve of the Republic of Ireland of which it crosses the capital Dublin.

Born in the hills from Wicklow, it is the subject hydroelectric of use to three recoveries, Poulaphouca, Golden Falls and Leixlip.

The Irish capital is located on both sides estuary of Liffey. The river crosses the town of west in, is boxed by pretty granite quays and is crossed by nine bridges.

A walk (Bachelor Walk) was arranged on part of its course, opposite Temple Bar, the district of the pubs.

A site not to be missed is the Ha' penny Bridge , the oldest footbridge of the city.

It was built in 1816 and owes its name with the toll which was due by its users (a half-penny = half penny)
