Lieuran-lès-Béziers
Lieuran-lès-Béziers is a common French, located in the department of the Herault and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. The habitans are called Lieuranais and Lieuranaises.La commune is crossed by small a Rivière the Libron.
The commune extends on 810 hectares and account more than 1000 inhabitants. Lieuran occupies a zone of plain mainly, broadside in south-east by a fringe of wooded slopes of 100 meters altitude. The commune is crossed by Libron, river coastal which skirts the Biterrois plain. Lieuran Béziers is a suburban commune of Béziers, but the exploitation of its vineyard of 570 hectares gives him a very marked rural vocation. The origins of Lieuran go up before the year 1000. There remains traces of the times Neolithic era, wisigothic Roman or and the castle and the parish church " St Martin" are dated from the XII° century.
