License in right

The license in right is a French diploma of university Second cycle, of level Bac +3

Presentation

The license in Droit is one 6 six-month periods duration. Fundamental lesson is exempted in the general disciplines of the right as well as other disciplines (alive Langues…) in complement in order to avoid a bulk-heading. This formation also includes work directed (TD) to choose parmis its lesson fundamental (2 to 3 TD following the universities). Those make it possible to the students to acquire the mechanisms of the legal reasoning. These 6 six-month periods are distributed over 3 years as follows (nonexhaustive EXAMPLE taken according to the courses proposed at the university of Burgundy, to thus get information to know what it is in the niversity of your future studies):

  • the first year of license in its six-month period 1 includes/understands for enseignents fundamental:
- historical initiation being studied of the right - initiation with the private law - initiation with the public law - optional lesson: (economy, Europe, jurisdictional institution foreign language) the first year includes/understands in its six-month period 2 for fundamental lesson: - constitutional law - civil law - history of the right and the institutions - optional lesson: (international relation, economic history, foreign language…)

  • the second year of license in its six-month period 3 includes/understands for enseignents fundamental:

- Right of the obligations - Criminal Law - Administrative law - Right of public finances - optional lesson: (social sciences, history of the obligations…) the second year of license in its six-month period 4 includes/understands for fundamental lesson: - right of the obligations (responsibility) - right of the goods - administrative law - right European - lesson otionnels: (identical to six-month period 4)

  • the third year of license of right to it for characteristic to ask the student lawyer according to his affinities to be directed, and this in all the universities because of our jurisdictional dualism,

rather towards a course of public law (the fundamental lesson will be then with majority turned towards the public (contentious administrative, public international law right of the community territorial with some matters of private law in optional teaching ex: law the labor company law civil procedure…)without forgetting the foreign language) rather towards a course of private law (the fundamental lesson will be then with majority turned towards the private company law, civil procedure, law the labor, civil law with some matters of public law in optional teaching ex: administrative dispute public international law…)without forgetting the foreign language) or then towards an undifferentiated course for the universities which propose it (ex: university of Burgundy…) where as well matters of the course private law as of the course public law for the fundamental lesson will be mixed.
