LibriVox

LibriVox is a free Numeric library of audio books. These books are composed of works of the Public domain, read by volunteers.

The LibriVox project began in August 2005 and contained in August 2007, 830 pounds complete more other short works, mainly in English with 19 languages represented.

Creative process

A book can be read by one or more people. In the second case, a coordinator deals with the division and the distribution parts or chapters to reading, then gathers the audio files and records the relative informations with treated work. No selection is made on the diction of the reader, only the technical quality of the recordings counts.

License of use

All works of origin, as well as the audio files are in the public domain. This authorizes any use (commercial or not) without any constraint.
