Library of Capitole
The library of Capitole ( Bibliotheca Capitolina ) existed on the Capitole but of which nothing more is known except that the Bibliothèque burned under the reign of the emperor Commode and that it was not rebuilt.
The Bibliothèque was probably founded by the emperor Trajan, or more surely by the dynasty of Antonins. The building would have been divided in two departments with the images of the others libraries of Rome, for the Latin literature and the other for the Greek books.
Perhaps this Bibliothèque made party of the complex of the Athenæum built by Hadrian and which became a Université with the wire of the centuries.
