The Libous are a Libyan tribe of Marmarique just like the Machaouach. They gave their name to the Libya ( Libuè in Greek), term which indicated initially all Africa before corresponding to the current country. Is present with Machaouachs among the attackers of Mérenptah (- 1213/-1202), a part of them introduced into the Western delta the Nile with the favor of the parcelling out under and S. Tefnakht, chief of Libou and prince of Know autoproclame (?) Pharaon towards -724 and founds thus. His/her son Bocchoris succeeds to him. These kings (and thus Libous) are probably the ancestors of the aforesaid the " Saïte".
