Liberty Bowl

The Liberty Bowl is a university match of American football being held at December of each year since 1959. Liberty Bowl was sponsored by AXA Financial and was known like the AXA Liberty Bowl of 1997 with 2003. Since 2004, the match is sponsored by AutoZone and names AutoZone Liberty Bowl .

The first match was played in the John F. Kennedy Stadium of Philadelphia the December 19th 1959. Edition 1964 was held with Atlantic City in the Convention Hall and since 1965, it takes place with Memphis with the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
